I’m a huge fan of scambaiters, but not a scambaiter myself. I was looking for a used motorcycle on Facebook marketplace and found what looked like a great deal. When the person replied back that they wanted to make the sale through the “Ebay Buyer Protection Program” and they would contact Ebay with my information and Ebay would send me an email, I was immediately suspicious this was a scam. My suspicions were confirmed when “Ebay” contacted me asking for Ebay gift card codes to by sent by email to complete the sale. Obvious scam.
If anyone is interested in Scambaiting these people, I’ll list the emails and phone numbers they listed as contacts, and I have included a screenshot of the email they sent me. Cheers.
