Hello. I’m interested in trying to scambait, though I don’t have much in the way of experience doing any of this. It feels dumb to just run off and do something like this without ever practicing in a safe and controlled environment first. Are there any suggested ways I could effectively practice scambaiting, using the software, facilitating the conversation, etc. before I run off and patronize any of these guys?
If SR’s videos have shown us anything, these guys are dumb. I’d just rather ask a dumb question here than risk outperforming the scammers in stupidity. Thanks.
Honestly, just get a TextNow or BobRTC account and go for it. Even if the call only lasts a couple of minutes, that’s still a couple of minutes of a scammer’s time wasted, and it all helps.
If you can’t think of much to say, here’s a few ideas.
Find annoying music or sounds on YouTube and play them at the scammers. The Shitty Flute youtube channel is a particular favourite of mine for robodialling at the moment. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=shittyflute
