I reported the site to Cloudflare, it should be handled soon.

a few funny things I noticed:

  • “toll free” but the area code is for Texas
  • the text-to-speech says that your computer has been locked, but Microsoft Edge is unaffected, at least until the page is clicked on (my Firefox installation did freeze though, but at least it blocked the audio from playing)
    (TIL Edge can further limit media autoplaying, both globally and on a site-by-site basis)
  • upper right corner includes the text “Diagnostics IP address: localhost”. did they attempt to use a script to output your IP address, then simply give up?
