Is it stupid to call scammers with my mobile phone?

Any risks?

Is using the mobile app, “Textfree” OK? It comes with a free phone number but you need to either buy minutes or watch ads.

If you call them back with * 67 and then the number that you’re calling they cannot trace your number.

I have a burner and I call scammers w/ that and google voice, no issues (its a burner, whats the worst that can happen?)
