More on pig butcher scammers

I always thought these things were random, but they seem to have at least some information. They certainly expect me to be male. Responding as a female shuts them down instantly.

More evidence. They are sure i am a man. Not sure where they are getting their info, but it’s not random.

Update: this guy just rolled with it when I sent him that picture, so being a woman may not be as effective as I thought. Still trying to figure out an effective bait strategy. These guys are pros at the long game so wasting their time is out unless you’re willing to string them along for months.

From what I’ve seen, they only get serious once you send (a little) money their way. Even Kitboga has had to send money to get them to send him access to the scam app they use.

I think ideally the way to deal with these groups is to use some sort of simple LLM (ChatGPT etc.) to simply waste their time using like 10+ accounts at a time. This requires a bit of automation.
