Hi, I got a call from someone pretending to be from Rogers Cable offering me $99 per month for 3 years for high speed internet, home phone and digital cable. Rogers, of course, will never offer anything like this. They immediately ask you if you are with Bell (I’m actually with Rogers already) and if you say yes they proceed to try and get your social insurance number and credit card information and then schedule a technician to come to your house. I have heard that this scam has actually been quite successful and the gentleman who contacted me seemed to be marginally better than I expected in understanding products and offerings.
I got a direct number to call back and ask for Chris Harris who is the “Rogers Sr Business Manager” (no such title in real life) at 437 370 5622
I suspect these guys have been successful in stealing money and identities. Would love people to hammer them and put them out of commission!
