New to the forums I work for a large internet service provider who offers a Tech support program for its custom who sign up or it for an extra service charge on the monthly bill. Today I was call by an older lady who had just received a call from a refund scammer I informed her made sure she had not given any information to them. What she did not know was that the scammer had set a admin computer password. She pulled the plug on them and called us. When I had her power on the machine it prompted her for this new password which she had no idea what it was. We checked the Hint section and that’s what brought me to this forum. In the hint section it said Call 213-349-2736 for your password. The Scammers use dameware for the remote connection process and told her the refund was for 5000.00 USD. I will monitor this post if you need anything else.
