What type of scammers use anydesk? all the ones I’ve called use connect wise.
Connectwise is always the first option, for a variety of reasons. Most scammers will use other tools if you are able to convince them to abandon connectwise. Watch how SR does it in his YouTube videos.
It is worth noting that, Anydesk is not a preferred option for scammers anymore. It is easy to reverse (again, see SR videos) and the company has been more aggressive than most at banning scammers from the platform. You can still convince them to use it, but it takes some social engineering.
How do you convince them?
SR usually does it by pretending to be calling back a disconnected call with a previous agent who told him to use Anydesk. Others just come up with reasons that other options won’t work (installation errors, broken websites, etc.) until the scammers resort to Anydesk. The former option may make the scammer suspicious, but tends to be quick if they fall for it. The latter option takes longer, and they may bail before they get to Anydesk.
