I have noticed that TextNow is being recommended around the forum. Its a good tool, but remember to disable the voicemail. As it says “the TextNow user is unavailable… Blah blah”.
This gives lets the scammers know you are using TextNow and raises their suspicions.
To disable go to Settings > Calling and un-check ‘Use Voicemail’.
